Dr. Dylan Handlin

Dr. Handlin was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois, where he cultivated a passion for science, sports, and community. After completing a double major in chemistry and biological sciences at Quincy University, he attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. During dental school, Dr. Handlin excelled academically, earning the distinction of being ranked #2 in his class. He further advanced his expertise by completing an Orthodontic residency at Saint Louis University.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Handlin enjoys spending time with his family and friends, whom he credits as being instrumental in shaping the person he is today. A self-proclaimed concert enthusiast, Dr. Handlin has attended over 20 concerts in a single summer and loves all types of music. He also stays active by playing sand volleyball with his girlfriend, Lizzy, hiking, and participating in sports. Travel is another of Dr. Handlin’s passions; he especially cherishes his memories of studying abroad in Belize and sightseeing in Seattle.

Dr. Handlin is a fan of both Mexican and Italian cuisine and has a heart for giving back, as demonstrated by his three hair donations. While he doesn’t have any pets currently, he hopes to welcome a puppy into his life soon.
